Why do I need an amplifier?

    An amplifier is an essential component in many audio systems because it increases the power of a signal, allowing it to drive a speaker or a pair of headphones. Without an amplifier, the audio signal from your phone, computer, or other audio source might not be powerful enough to produce sound at an audible level.
