Music is considered classical when it is written in the style of the great composers of the past, most often from the Western tradition, and this is not usually how modern music is composed. Modern music tends to be more about electronic sounds and popular genres, while classical music is more about traditional instruments and written compositions. However, there are modern composers who incorporate classical elements into their work, and this is a way in which modern music can be considered classical. Overall, modern music is generally not classical, but there can be some overlap.
