Goths, who are often part of the Gothic subculture, have a strong connection to darker aesthetics and may be interested in darker music genres. Although metal is not exclusive to this subculture, some Goths do enjoy metal, especially if it has darker or morose themes. Many also listen to other genres such as gothic rock, post punk, deathrock, synthpop, and new wave. However, it’s important to remember that individual tastes and preferences will differ, and not all Goths will necessarily like metal.
