    No, metal is a man-made material used for various applications and it does not turn into rock. However, there is a rock called metamorphic rock that starts as another rock type and is altered by heat, pressure, or chemical reactions. Examples include marble, which is a metamorphic form of limestone, or gneiss, which is a metamorphic form of granite.
