Classical music can be considered difficult for a few reasons. Firstly, it requires a level of understanding and familiarity with the musical language and style that was prevalent during the Classical period, which spanned approximately from 1730 to 1820. Secondly, the composers of this era, such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Joseph Hayden, created complex and sophisticated musical pieces that often feature intricate harmonies, melodies, and structures, which can be challenging to grasp for those unfamiliar with such compositions. Lastly, understanding and appreciating classical music also involve learning about the historical, social, and political contexts in which this music was created, adding an extra layer of difficulty.
