Does RMS mean louder?

    RMS, or Root Mean Square, is a mathematical term used to describe the level of a signal. It does not necessarily mean “louder” because a higher RMS value can indicate a more powerful signal, but the perceived loudness also depends on other factors such as frequency content and dynamics.
