Why are mixers so loud?

Mixers, especially professional ones, tend to be quite loud because they are built to prioritize performance over sound levels. These machines contain powerful motors that generate a lot of noise during operation. The noise increases with the speed of the blades. Also, the close proximity of the mixer’s motor to the user’s ears intensifies the perceived loudness.
