Honey can help soothe a sore throat and reduce coughing, which can be beneficial for the voice. It coats the throat and has mild antibacterial properties, which may help heal minor injuries to the throat. Additionally, honey is a natural sweetener and humectant, keeping the throat and vocal cords lubricated. However, it’s essential to consume it in moderation, as too much honey can lead to weight gain and tooth decay. Also, while honey may temporarily soothe the throat and help with vocal comfort, it will not improve the overall tone, range, or quality of the voice. Professional vocal training and hydration are more effective in these areas.
