I would recommend using either Audacity or Reaper for recording singing. Both are digital audio workstations (DAWs) that are readily available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. They also provide various features, such as multitrack recording, editing, and mixing.

Audacity is a free, open-source DAW with a simple and intuitive interface, making it ideal for beginners. It offers numerous effects, like equalization, reverb, and compression, to improve your vocal recordings.

Reaper, on the other hand, is a paid DAW, but it comes with a fully functional 30-day trial. It has a steeper learning curve compared to Audacity, but it offers more advanced features and a better overall experience for recording and producing music.

To record singing with either of these software, you will need a good quality condenser microphone, an audio interface, and a pair of headphones
