IVANA Signs Global Record Deal With German Label

IVANA has found a place called home.

Announced today, May 29th, the Melbourne-based artist makes the leap from reality TV to a global deal with the German dance music label Place Called Home.

To celebrate her new signing, PCH releases the cut “Burning,” a classy, clean, dancefloor-ready pop piece.

The 20-year-old singer and songwriter made her mark in last year’s ninth season of Australian Idol (as Ivana Ilic), finishing in the top 10, behind eventual winner Dylan Wright.

With the Idol experience behind her, IVANA independent released three singles in 2024. The first, “Ooh La La La” was produced by the DNA Songs pop-shop (Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci) and has accumulated more than 200,000 streams. IVANA performed the song live at the 2024 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) at Sydney’s The Star.

She followed it up with “Beating Heart” and “Liar Liar,” the latter collecting more than 1.5 million streams, according to reps.

The foundation for what is now PCH was laid in 2012. Based in Berlin, PCH officially opened for business in 2018 as a specialist music management firm. The company expanded its activities into artist and producer management, and music publishing, and in 2020 launched label operations, PCH Recordings.

In response to “continued growth,” reads a statement from the business, PCH restructured in 2023 into different independent business units—each led by its own management team with offices in Berlin and Frankfurt.

Today, PCH represents a roster of artists, producers, and songwriters, including Nicolas Julian (label, management), Lucas Estrada (management), Dominik Felsmann (management, publishing) and Carstn (label, management, publishing).

“Our mission is to build an environment where artists, business partners, and our team can thrive, fostering creative freedom while maintaining a strategic, data-driven approach,” reads PCH’s mission statement. “We create diverse music experiences by combining creativity, data insights, technology, and long-lasting audience engagement.”

IVANA will promote “Burning” with launch shows in Melbourne (June 27th at Yah Yahs) and Sydney (June 29th at the Beresford Sundays).
