Jimmy Herring Will No Longer Participate in Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam, Citing “Scheduling Conflict”

Widespread Panic’s Jimmy Herring will no longer participate in the Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam, the event scheduled for this Saturday, December 13, at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, N.C. 

A note was slipped into social posts about streaming options for the main event and pre-jam via Volume.com. The update reads: “Due to a scheduling conflict, Jimmy Herring is unable to perform this year.”

With Herring no longer on the docket, “A Very Special Tribute to Phil Lesh” will now include event maestro Haynes, alongside the second-generation torchbearer of the Grateful Dead’s music, Grahame Lesh, and the late bassist’s collaborators, John Molo and Jason Crosby. 

Beyond the aforementioned tribute, Saturday will also see songs performed by the Stone Temple Pilots, MJ Lenderman & The Wind, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Warren Haynes & Friends Ft. Danny Louis, Duane Trucks, Greg Osby, Jeff Sipe, Kevin Scott, and Mike Barnes. 

Also on the list are  Maggie Rose, bob. [moe.’s Bob Dylan side project featuring Al Schnier, Vinnie Amico, Brian Lauri, Zach Fleitz, and Charley Orlando ], Edwin McCain, and Songbird Holler. For access to the official event schedule, visit this link
