John Fogerty announced that he will headline the upcoming “Charity Pros for Heros” concerts in Florida to honor and salute the first responders, healthcare workers and fallen Heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards educational scholarships and a “Megan’s Wish” for the Children of the fallen Heroes.
The Fogerty headlining “Charity Pros for Heroes” shows will kick off at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 20 and feature country artist Lauren Alaina. The next day Fogerty will head to the Hertz Arena in Estero, Fla. and feature Foreigner before heading to the Amway Center in Orlando for the finale on Nov. 23. The closing show will feature Rock Hall of Fame band Cheap Trick. American Idol Finalist Casey Bishop will be the opener for all the shows.
Each show will begin with the Sheriff’s Department Honor Gaurd’s memorial to the local fallen heroes.
Fogerty said in a press release, “It is truly an honor to perform for all the Heroes, for the first time in over twenty months, many of the men and women that worked tirelessly to protect us can cut loose and enjoy a great show.”
The Charity Pros is a non-profit based in Ft. Myers, Fla., founded in 2019 by young entrepreneur Megan Maloney to advocate for children’s social causes and raise funds to help support the surviving children of the fallen.
