‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Completes Another ARIA Chart Double

No one, and nothing, can budge KPop Demon Hunters from the top of the ARIA Charts.

The soundtrack to the popular Netflix animated musical establishes a new record as it holds at No. 1 on the national albums tally for a sixth non-consecutive week, tying with Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet as the longest-reigning collection so far in 2025, ARIA reports.

Meanwhile, the OST’s global hit “Golden” retains top spot for the third successive week on the ARIA Singles Chart, and is one of six tracks from the compilation in the top 10.

KPop Demon Hunters follows the adventures of Huntr/x, an all-female K-pop group (Rumi, Mira and Zoey) who double as secret guardians of the world.

Fans can’t get enough of it.

According to ARIA, it’s now the biggest chart-topper from an animated movie since the official charts launched in 1983, beating Trolls (three weeks at No. 1 in 2017), Frozen (two weeks in 2014) and others.

Expect the recording to stay at or near the top of the leaderboard. HOYTS will exclusively play K-Pop Demon Hunters: Sing-Along Version in its cinemas across Australia and New Zealand this weekend.

KPop Demon Hunters outpoints Conan Gray’s new album Wishbone, which arrives at No. 2 on the new frame. The US singer, songwriter and former YouTuber now has three top 10 albums in Australia, including Superache (No. 8 in 2022) and Found Heaven (No. 10 in 2024).

Further down the list, Jordan Davis starts No. 9 with Learn The Hard Way. That’s a career high for the US country artist, who is rumoured to be plotting an Australian tour in 2026.

Australian deathcore act Justice For The Damned bag a third top 40 appearance with Stay Relentless, opening its account at No. 13. The Sydney group previously impacted the chart with Dragged Through The Dirt (No. 37 in 2017) and Pain Is Power (No. 18 in 2020).

Mama Kin Spender debuts at No. 20 with Promises. It’s the second album from the homegrown duo of Mama Kin and Tommy Spender, following 2020’s Are You Listening?, and their first chart appearance.
