Lainey Wilson Announces 2026 Australian Tour, Including Howlin’ Country Festival
Lainey Wilson has announced a national Australian tour, playing most capital cities in February 2026. The newly-announced six-date run is part of Wilson’s Whirlwind world tour, so named after her fifth studio album from last year. She will be joined on all dates by fellow American country acts Flatland Cavalry and Kaitlin Butts, both of which are making their Australian debut as pat of the tour. Wilson’s full Australian tour itinerary, including ticketing information, can be found below.
In addition to playing her own headlining shows at arenas across the country, Wilson is also set to headline the returning Howlin’ Country festival, which takes to the Newcastle Foreshore on Valentine’s Day 2026. Both Flatland Cavalry and Butts are also set to perform, with the festival’s first announcement also including Morgan Evans, Adam Newling and Tyla Rodrigues. The festival made its debut earlier this year, with a line-up that included Tyler Childers, Brad Cox and Sons Of The East.
Lainey Wilson – ‘Somewhere Over Laredo’
Wilson released Whirlwind in August 2024. It topped both the US Independent Albums chart and the UK Country Albums chart upon release, and also charted locally at number three on the Australian Country Albums chart – as well as at number 19 on the overall ARIA Albums Chart. A deluxe edition of the album is set for release next Friday, August 22nd – almost exactly a year to the release of the original album. It will include five new songs, including recent single ‘Somewhere Over Laredo’.
The Louisiana-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter made her Australian debut last year, performing at that year’s CMC Rocks QLD alongside former Florida Georgia Line member Tyler Hubbard and Chris Young. She also played her own headlining shows while in the country.
