Laneway was named Best Festival at the 2025 ARIA Awards.

In the Best Music Festival category, presented by Tixel, the beloved touring festival triumphed over Ability Fest, Beyond the Valley, Bluesfest, and Yours & Owls.

Laneway co-founder Danny Rogers collected the gong on behalf of the festival  inside Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Confirmed on next year’s bill are the likes of headlining act Chappell Roan, Role Model, PinkPantheress, Wet Leg, BENEE, Gigi Perez, Wolf Alice, and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.

2025 was Laneway’s biggest year yet, drawing over 200,000 fans to sold-out shows across Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, with an additional 40,000 at sideshows.

Australia’s biggest night in music opened with a bang courtesy of viral sensation Keli Holiday, capping off his biggest career year yet.

Joined by fellow Aussie artists such as Baker Boy, he performed his breakout hit “Dancing2”, which has taken off in a huge way on TikTok and beyond.

Following his performance, Holiday — better known as Adam Hyde — picked up the Best Video gong for “Dancing2”.

It’s been a wild year for Holiday, real name Adam Hyde. With sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, a spot on Like A Version, recording his second album Capital Fiction and announcing an Australian tour to support it — he’s earned a day off after his performance this evening.

In other Laneway news, Kiwi pop star BENEE told Rolling Stone AU/NZ about her love of the festival in a new interview. BENEE will return to her homeland to perform at the festival next year.

“It is definitely one of my favourite festivals ever, so I am, beyond excited to be playing that again, and I just can’t wait,” she told the publication. “It’s just been so long since I’ve played any shows.”
