RCA Records and 88rising have announced the birth of 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, a music collective and multimedia experience poised to reshape the industry. The inaugural release from the partnership is the single “MiNt cHoCoLaTe,” featuring a stellar lineup including BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn, and Conway The Machine.

Breaking new ground, this marks the first collaboration between the Toronto jazz outfit and the Buffalo MCs. The result is a compelling fusion of lyrical prowess and instrumental finesse, delivering a headbobbing and swaggering sonic experience.

An accompanying music video adds a playful visual dimension to the track showcasing an elementary school talent show in the suburbs of California. The narrative follows Ryan, the band’s leader and flutist, along with his ensemble, The Destroyers, preparing for their moment in the spotlight. As the time comes to perform the grade school band unleashes the complex arrangements of “MiNt cHoCoLaTe,” not to mention the deep cadence found in Westside Gunn, and Conway The Machine’s vocals.
