LISTEN: Can’t Swim’s ‘Find You’, A Previously Unreleased ‘Fail You Again’ B-Side

The band are celebrating five years of their debut.

Can’t Swim are celebrating the 5th anniversary of their debut album ‘Fail You Again’ in style, with the release of a deluxe version of the record.

Vocalist Chris LoPorto had this to say about the record as he reflected on the last half a decade:

“Fail You Again, our first album turns 5 years old. It was our first time ever making music together, it was our first time thinking about the band in a serious way; what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it. It has given us so many experiences throughout the world and has taught us so much about each other. Listening back to it now, I hear so many influences and genuine emotions that we were all going through in that time period. It was such a blast to make and I never thought it would open up as many doors as it did for us as a band. I owe a lot of the positivity in my life these last 5 years to FYA. Thanks to everyone who has been along for the ride.'”

The deluxe edition features four new songs, including ‘Find You’, a beautifully longing piece alt-rock brilliance that washes over you with wave after wave of recent nostalgia. It’s a really lovely return to the roots of the band, and shows just how far they have travelled over the years that have followed, demonstrating just what a wonderful band they are.

Chris had this to say about the song:

“‘Find You’ is the last b-side we recorded for Fail You Again.  We wrote the song around the bass line, which many CS songs are guilty of and we wanted to keep the structure short and sweet. Clocking in around 2 minutes, it’s a song that gets straight to the point. Over the last 5 years we’ve thought about releasing it but the timing never seemed right, very excited for it to be finally out.”
