Shira Elias has released her latest single, “Bawdy Talk,” inspired by late-night conversations about censorship, body shaming, and the desire to express oneself freely with exuberant confidence. The track is bolstered by the songstress’s lush and seductive vocal range, emanating R&B and soul flair. Listen now. 

“Bawdy Talk” continues the three-way musical partnership between Elias, her musical and life partner, MEGA, and fellow artist and writer MacKenzie, who collectively lend their skills to demonstrate one-of-a-kind style and magnetism, steeped in beats and driving the mantra: “She’s a baddie/ Tell her she’s a baddie.” 

Responding to society’s discontent with deliberate sensuality and contentment, “Bawdy Talk” emerges as an artist’s statement that promotes individual power. “Basically,” Elias begins via press release, “I want you to turn off the lights and go to town with your bad bitch self.” 

When Elias isn’t working with The Cool Zombies, her partnership with MEGA and MacKenzie, she is seen on the road with Cool Cool Cool, as well as Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew of the Talking Heads. Based in LA, the songstress also supports The Super Sonic Shorties, The Main Squeeze, and The Nth Power.
