Looks Like MGK Is About To Announce An Australian Tour
Get ready to dye your hair pink or whatever – looks like MGK is coming back down under for the first time in eight years.
His label, Universal Music Australia, all but confirmed the news this past week, dropping a not-so-subtle Instagram bomb.
“Australian tour dates to be announced later this year!”
“CALLING ALL AUSSIE MGK FANS!!” They wrote. “Receive pre-sale access for the forthcoming @machinegunkelly 2026 Australian tour dates to be announced later this year!”
The proviso? You’ve gotta pre-order his brand new album Lost Americana from the UMUSIC store before this Thursday, 14th August to snag that exclusive pre-sale code.
Dates are still TBA, but it’s the clearest sign yet that MGK will be returning to Aussie stages.
The rapper-turned-pop-punk-turned-whatever-he-feels-like-this-week last toured Australia in 2018 for The 27 Tour – itself his first visit since 2013. Since then, he’s gone full chameleon: Billboard #1 album (Mainstream Sellout), collabs with Willow, Lil Wayne, Avril Lavigne and Bring Me The Horizon, and a love-it-or-hate-it style evolution that’s kept the internet talking.
Lost Americana drops this Friday (15th August), with MGK promising a deeper look behind the rockstar veneer. “Maybe this time they’ll get to know the man-slash-broken-boy behind the moniker MGK,” he told People Mag in a recent chat.
Of course, controversy has been his plus-one for most of his career – from his public romance with Megan Fox to high-profile beefs (hi, Eminem) and that guitar.
But these days, he says he’s over the hate: “It’s become so pop culture that it’s almost like that’s automatically what you say to fit in,” he told People. “That shit doesn’t even mean anything to me. I’ve let it go completely.”
We’ll keep you up to date with more MGK tour updates as soon as we’ve got ’em!
