Mac DeMarco has shared his take on festive staple ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’.

The indie troubadour has a habit of released Advent covers, turning it into an annual tradition.

‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ was first released by Bing Crosby in 1943, while the likes of Elvis Presley and Kelly Clarkson have all had hits with it.

An often schmaltzy track, Mac DeMarco turns ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ into something surreal yet deadpan, adding a woozy element to the production.

A festive indie rock workout that comes draped in tinsel, Mac adds: “I hope your holiday season is full of love and tree…”
