Macklemore’s 2024 Australian Tour Gains More Shows, Venue Upgrades

Macklemore will play three shows at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on his 2024 Australian tour. All three shows have already sold out. The Seattle rapper will also play a second show at Perth’s HBF Stadium after the first show, on Monday, 20th May, sold out. The tour’s Melbourne show, on Wednesday, 15th May, has been moved from ​John Cain Arena to the larger Rod Laver Arena.

The 2024 tour follows the release of Macklemore’s second official solo LP, BEN, in March. There’ll also be shows in Wellington, Auckland and Brisbane. Details below.

Macklemore is one of many musicians to have been publicly advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza in recent weeks. He attended a pro-Palestine rally in Washington D.C. over the first weekend of November, where he was invited to make a speech. “There are thousands of people here that are more qualified to speak on the issue of a free Palestine than myself,” Macklemore said.

He continued, “They told me to be quiet. They told me to do my research, to go back, that it’s too complex to say something, right? To be silent in this moment. In the last three weeks, I’ve gone back and I’ve done some research. And I am teachable. I don’t know enough. But I know enough that this is a genocide.”
