Maluma stopped mid-concert to scold a mother who brought her baby to the Mexico City show without ear protection. “That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real.”

Maluma is on the final leg of his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour, and recently paused during his Mexico City concert over the weekend to scold a member of the audience. A mother had brought her young child to the show without proper ear protection. The tour’s last show takes place in Guadalajara on August 16.

“With all due respect… how old are they?” Maluma asked in a clip of the interaction on social media. “A year old? Less? […] Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this fucking high? […] That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here. Next time, protect their ears or something.”

“It’s your responsibility,” the 31-year-old added. “You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real. I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… I would never bring them to a concert.”

In March 2024, Maluma and his girlfriend Susana Gomez welcomed their first child, a daughter named Paris Londoño Gomez. The couple announced their child’s birth in a post on Instagram. Maluma’s concern for the baby is reflected by his recent dadhood, something Post Malone also experienced after having his daughter.

Maluma recently made a stop at the Baja Beach Festival at Mexico’s Rosarito Beach to headline alongside J Balvin and Don Omar. That event also featured performances from Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, Brazilian pop star Anitta, Blessd, Rels B, Oscar Maydo, Tito Double P, and many more.

The Colombian star’s 21-show +Pretty +Dirty World Tour kicked off on March 15 in Barcelona, with the final show set to take place on August 16 in Guadalajara.
