Maple Leaf Bar Closes Until 2022 Due to COVID-19 Surge

New Orleans’ historic Maple Leaf Bar announced that it has canceled all of its events until 2022 out of an abundance of caution due to the rise in COVID-19 cases striking the United States. The venue will be closed from today, Dec. 20 until Dec. 31.
Maple Leaf Bar wrote in a statement that “several staff and musicians” recently tested positive for COVID-19. “To say that we feel badly for everyone this will affect would be an understatement. We have worked very hard to get back open, but at this point, better safe than sorry.”
