Members of Real Estate, Darkside, Vampire Weekend and Arc Iris Form New Side-Project Taper’s Choice
The new indie-jam supergroup Taper’s Choice has confirmed its first show. The project, which features Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), Dave Harrington (Darkside), Chris Tomson (Vampire Weekend) and Zach Tenorio Miller (Arc Iris), will perform at Los Angeles’ Gold-Diggers on Friday, December 10. Fruit Bats’ Eric D. Johnson and the Aquarium Drunkard DJs will provide support duties. Johnson has promised a set of “Jerry tunes” during his segment. All the musicians involved have roots in the jamband scene, but have gone on to achieve success in the indie-leaning world.
Real Estate have also added a Los Angeles show to their fall tour. The New Jersey-bred group will perform at The Regent Theater on December 14. The group will perform their 2011 album Days in its entirety during the show.
