    There is no direct correlation between being a drummer and being good at math. However, rhythm and beats can be viewed in a mathematical way, considering measures, time signatures, and tempo. That said, a drummer might benefit from good counting skills. But overall, proficiency in math and drumming would likely depend more on individual education and practice than on the chosen instrument.

    The easiest drum to play would be the cajon. The cajon is a wooden box-shaped instrument that you sit on and play by hitting the front or sides with your hands. It only requires the use of your hands and there is no need to hold drumsticks. There are no complicated rhythms to learn, so it’s fairly simple to get started on. The sounds and tones you can produce can be explored immediately, and it’s a very accessible instrument to start playing right away.
