Miles Kane Drops Retro Bop ‘Nothing’s Ever Gonna Be Good Enough’
Miles Kane sweeps back into view with retro-tinged single ‘Nothing’s Ever Gonna Be Good Enough’.
The Mersey songwriter’s new album ‘Change The Show’ is out on January 21st, a project that will be accompanied by a full nationwide tour.
Out now, new single ‘Nothing’s Ever Gonna Be Good Enough’ is a horn-drenched soul stomper, with Miles exchanging vocals alongside Corinne Bailey Rae.
Reminiscent of those Otis Redding and Carla Thomas duets, it adds a neat 21st century twist to the mixture.
Miles comments: “This is all about that feeling of giving everything you’ve got to something/someone, but feeling like you’re never quite getting the same energy back. And how sometimes the harder you try and reach for it, the further away it becomes.”
“I love the back and forth between us,” he adds. “I wanted an Ike and Tina vibe, not a gratuitous guest. Unfortunately, we had to record it remotely, but we’ll perform it on stage together I’m sure.”
Corinne says: ”I love this song and can’t get it out of my head. So pleased to be on it with my dear friend Miles.”
Tune in now.
