Mimi Fishman Foundation Adds Signed Phish Coventry Poster to Online Auction

The Mimi Fishman Foundation has launched an online charity auction. Featured is a highly coveted Coventry poster designed by Jim Pollock and signed by all four members of Phish. The posters serve as a piece of history, commemorating the group’s emotionally dominant August 13-15, 2004 performances at the Newport State Airport in Coventry, Vt., which were billed to be their final concerts. 

The occasion functioned as a weekend-long festival, bringing an estimated 65,000 to 68,000 attendees to participate in what was believed to be a final opportunity to see Phish. During the event, the band performed six sets of music over two nights, with their final performance representing the last until their 2009 reunion. 

Given the band’s history, the Coventry poster is a sought-after piece for fans and collections of Phish history. All proceeds will be donated to Central Maine’s Medical Center’s Compassionate Care Fund for Trauma Response and Support. The Center was instrumental in helping victims of the recent horrific mass shooting in Maine. 

Additionally, the poster was donated by Alex Langenstein. Langenstein is John Langenstein’s (former Head of Security for Phish) son.  Alex found the poster while visiting his father, and together, they wanted to make this special donation to assist in charitable giving.
