MJ Lenderman, Role Model Visit ‘Austin City Limits’

Fellow buzzy singer/songwriters MJ Lenderman and Role Model share the stage on the next episode of PBS’ Austin City Limits, which premieres tomorrow (Nov. 22) at 8pm ET.

Backed by this band the Wind, Lenderman makes his program debut with a six-song set heavy on material from his acclaimed album Manning Fireworks. SPIN premieres a performance of “She’s Leaving You” below. Look for Lenderman on tour with Waxahatchee next year, beginning April 13 in Atlanta.

On the heels of his recent Saturday Night Live booking, Role Model revisits his breakthrough hit “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” as part of his own six-song set. SPIN is also premiering that rendition below.

Now in its 51st season, Austin City Limits has this year featured the Marías, Charley Crockett, Waxahatchee, Samara Joy, Finneas, Kelsea Ballerini and CAM. In October, My Morning Jacket was inducted into the show’s Hall of Fame by filmmaker/writer Cameron Crowe.
