Last night, Aug. 7, moe. arrived in Peoria, Ill. for the latest performance in their 2025 Summer Tour. Onstage at the riverfront CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing, the longstanding jam innovators continued their year-long 35th anniversary celebration with another stunning two-set show spanning their discography and highlighted by a sit–in from Eggy guitarist Jake Brownstein.

moe. set off their show on Thursday night with “Calyphornia,” drawn from the quintet’s 2014 record No Guts, No Glory and returned to their live rotation after a seven-year absence with a February show in Los Angeles. The band continued with “Tomorrow is Another Day” and “Don’tcha Know,” a pairing pulled directly from their recent 14th studio album Circle of Giants that has quickly emerged as some of the project’s onstage frontrunners. To close out the first frame, the band tore through a segued sprint of “Crushing,” “Bullet” and finally the fan-favorite “Kyle’s Song.”

moe.’s second set commenced with the summer’s first “Prestige Worldwide,” followed by a medley of “Jazz Wank” and “Spaz Medicine.” The remainder of their main performance was committed to a highly improvisatory exploration of “Big World,” merged into “Ricky Martin” and culminating in the second set closer of “Lazarus.” The band returned for an encore in the company of Brownstein, who opened the show alongside his bandmates, drummer Alex Bailey and keyboardist Dani Battat, with a five-song set featuring a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Cassidy.” Brownstein lent his fiery axe work to moe.’s 1995 classic “Happy Hour Hero,” wrapping up the performance on an exhilarating high note.

moe. have five further dates with Eggy slated through Aug. 16, continuing tomorrow with a staging at Paw Paw, Mich.’s Warner Vineyards. Find the band’s full 2025 live itinerary at moe.org/tour.
