Oasis Fan Falls From Height and Dies During London Concert

A man in his 40s fell to his death from a height at London’s Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert over the weekend.

An Oasis fan, believed to be in his 40s, fell to his death during the band’s concert at London’s Wembley Stadium over the weekend. The man was seated in the upper tier of the venue, approximately 170ft above the ground. Despite immediate attention from paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“I was directly underneath in section 211,” said a concertgoer who witnessed the tragedy. “At first glance, I thought it was a coat from the above tier, but then I looked and saw the dude on the concrete. It was horrific to see.”

Metropolitan police were quick on the scene following reports of the fall at around 10:19 PM on Saturday night. They found the man had “injuries consistent with a fall,” and emergency services attempted to revive him.

Witnesses of the event or anyone who may have captured the incident on video are being asked to come forward. Police are expected to notify the Health and Safety Executive, which may lead to an investigation.

“Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service, and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died,” wrote a Wembley Stadium spokesperson.

“Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.” The following night’s concert at the venue went ahead as planned.

“We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” said Oasis in a statement. “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Oasis launched their Live ‘25 reunion tour in Cardiff in July before returning to their hometown of Manchester for a five-night stand. The band will head to America later this month before returning to London for two more shows in September.
