More than six decades after her passing, Patsy Cline remains a guiding light in Americana. Though her dazzling career was tragically cut short, the unforgettable music she recorded between the early ‘50s and ‘60s has since won her a legacy as a foundational influence on the Nashville sound, a driving force in country’s crossover to the pop charts and one of the most revered vocalists of the 20th century. This was the feeling expressed on April 22, 2024, when an all-star cast of devotees assembled to honor the late legend at Nashville, Tenn.’s hallowed Ryman Auditorium with “Walkin’ After Midnight: The Music of Patsy Cline.” Now, fans will have the chance to take that tribute home with a new concert recording.

Walkin’ After Midnight: Live at the Ryman features 17 of Cline’s most beloved songs, renewed by an intergenerational mix of 19 acclaimed performers who carry the torch of her enchanting sound. Among the selections captured onstage at Country’s Mother Church, which Cline once called home as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, are Mickey Guyton’s “Walkin’ After Midnight,” Grace Potter’s “Strange,” Wynonna Judd’s “Sweet Dreams,” Rita Wilson’s “She’s Got You,” Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo’s “Imagine That” and Wynonna’s return for a showstopping spin on “Crazy,” Cline’s Willie Nelson-penned 1961 standard.

Walkin’ After Midnight is set to release on July 25 via Mercury Studios. The album will be available as both a 140-gram Eco-vinyl pressing and Blu-ray and CD pairing. Outside of the music, the concert film also includes archival accounts from those close to Cline on her life and artistic identity, including her husband Charlie Dick peers like Dottie West, Carl Perkins, Mel Tillis, Roy Clark, Owen Bradley and Loretta Lynn, who was a close friend.
