Radiohead announces a run of 20 shows across five European cities. To help curb bots and scalpers, fans must first pre-register to purchase tickets.

Radiohead has announced their first tour in seven years, with a run of 20 shows in select cities across Europe. The band will play four shows each in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin through November and December. But in order to help prevent scalping, fans must pre-register to purchase tickets. Registration begins on Friday, September 5, at 5 AM EST.

Fans have speculated since March that a Radiohead reunion was in the works, after spotting a new business entity registered to all five members called “RHEUK25.” This was interpreted to mean “Radiohead Europe UK 2025.”

Shortly afterward, tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice” were included in a Palisades High School fire relief auction. A source confirmed that the band had arranged a European residency this fall. Then, in early September, fans noticed fliers appearing in European cities, advertising shows in Copenhagen and London.

But die-hard Radiohead fans suspected since last fall that the band had performances slated. That’s because bassist Colin Greenwood revealed that the group had gotten together to rehearse.

Last October, frontman Thom Yorke coyly addressed speculation that Radiohead were getting back together, saying, “I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else’s historical idea of what we should be doing.”

This summer, the band revealed they had plans to release a new live album, Hail to the Thief, on October 31. “I was shocked by the kind of energy behind the way we played,” said Yorke. “I barely recognized us, and it helped me find a way forward. We decided to get these live recordings mixed and released. […] It has all been a very cathartic process. We very much hope you enjoy them.”

Radiohead’s last live show was in August 2018, with their last stop on their “A Moon Shaped Pool” tour in Philadelphia. The tour was in support of their ninth studio album, before the band’s members parted ways to focus on side projects.
