Regurgitator Announce 2025 Regional Australian Tour

Regurgitator have announced a regional Australian tour, which will take them across the Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales across November and December 2025. The tour is dubbed Jukeboxxin’, and will see the band perform their greatest hits from across their 33-year career. In vintage Regurgitator fashion, the Brisbane alternative rock band have shared the news with a prolix and borderline-incomprehensible announcement. In it, they describe the upcoming regional tour as “a deep droid into those much loved plateaus of the nostalgia machine”. “A fistful of fizzers, poppin’ packets over a hard, driving 32 years plus,” they wrote. “Siftin’ through their deca-drome of albums and slew of EPs. Robotic arms clawing in muscle memory, with their selector effects, will cram as many hits as they canned into near on two hours of aural sugar that drips and drops.”

Regurgitator – ‘Black Bugs’

Serving as support for all shows will be Dem Mob, the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara group who self-describe as “the most remote hip-hop group in the world”. They performed at Bigsound last year, and have released five singles to date – including the collaborative protest song ‘Until We’re All Free’, which was heralded by Dobby and also features the likes of BVT and L-Fresh The Lion.

The band last hit the road in May and June 2024, touring in support of their 11th studio album Invader. They were joined on most of the tour by Sydney noise-rock duo Party Dozen, as well as Cry Club, Monster Zoku Onsomb! and The Subculture Clique at varying stages of the run. They were recently voted into triple j‘s Hottest 100 Of Australian Songs, reaching number 67 with their signature song ‘! (The Song Formerly Known As)’, from their multi-platinum 1997 album Unit.

Away from the Jukeboxxin’ tour, Regurgitator are also set to support Grinspoon for two shows on their 30th Birthday Bonanza Australian tour: Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Saturday, November 1st, and Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Saturday, November 8th. They will also perform at the 50-year anniversary mini-festival for Brisbane community radio station 4ZZZ in the city’s Roma Street Parkland, joining the likes of The Saints 73–78, Tropical Fuck Storm and Full Flower Moon Band.
