Selena Gomez is seeing gold for the fourth year in a row, with the star scoring yet another nod in the best TV actress category for her performance in Only Murders in the Building.
And after seeing the news on Monday (Dec. 8), Gomez shared a heartfelt reaction on her Instagram Story. “Thank you to the @goldenglobes for our recognition after 5 seasons!” she wrote. “I’m deeply grateful and forever honored.”
The Rare Beauty founder also posted a photo of herself and Only Murders costars Martin Short and Steve Martin and added, “THANK YOU @GOLDENGLOBES FROM OUR WACKY FAMILY!”
Gomez has now been nominated for best actress in a television series, musical or comedy for four years straight thanks to her portrayal of Mabel in the Hulu comedy series. It’s her fifth acting nod total, with the musician previously earning honors in the best supporting actress in a motion picture category for Emilia Pérez. She has not yet won in an acting category.
Martin and Short are also up for best actor in a musical or comedy TV series for the fifth year in a row.
The season five finale of Only Murders premiered this past October. On the same day, news broke that the show would be moving forward with a sixth installment, which will take place across the pond.
“Well, looks like our fam is going to London y’all …,” Gomez wrote on Instagram when the renewal was first announced. “I want to thank our community and fans of @onlymurdershulu for allowing us to even have a season 6! We are eternally grateful we can bring any of you any sort of joy. My deepest gratitude from Steve, Marty and myself.”
In addition to Only Murders, Gomez has been busy with producing and guest starring in the reboot of Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney+. On the music front, she teamed up with now-husband Benny Blanco for Billboard 200 No. 2 joint album I Said I Love You First in March and dropped single “In the Dark” for Netflix’s Nobody Wants This in October.
