Singer-songwriter, Todd Snider, has canceled his High, Lonesome and Then Some Tour, named for his latest record by the same name, released on October 17 via Aimless Records/Thirty Tigers. Snider pulled out of the North American jaunt after he was violently assaulted outside his hotel in Salt Lake City, according to his team of representatives.

Snider’s Aimless Inc. production company and record label released a statement on the artist’s social media profiles, where they shared:

We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 tour dates. Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.

Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon.

Details on the severity of the assault have not been disclosed. Snider had just performed one concert, on October 30 in Englewood, Colo., before he was injured. He was scheduled to play at the second stop of his High, Lonesome and Then Some Tour, Nov. 1 in Salt Lake City, before the attack.

The itinerary included concert appearances throughout the first two weeks of November, with nearly back-to-back performances from the American Southwest through the Pacific Northwest and ultimately Montana. Also included was a one-off date in February 2026 at The Caverns in Pelham, Tenn.
