Carson Rammeit—better known as SIXFOOT 5—unveils BODY EROTICA, a pulsing ode to classic New York nights that bleed into dawn. It’s a love letter to the city’s after-hours heartbeat: sweat-slicked dance floors, rooftop house parties, and those 5 AM moments that could only happen in the City. Fans of electronic pop, ambient film scores, and LGBTQIA+ artistry will recognize his signature sound, but what they may not know is that behind his sonic precision lies the soul of an artist deeply attuned to life’s bigger questions. Through BODY EROTICA, SIXFOOT 5 isn’t just crafting tracks—he’s channeling a frequency that resonates, revives, and demands a visceral response.

“I think of this album as a statement piece from start to finish. It’s meant to be a whole experience – it’s BDSM told through electronic dance and cinematic soundscaping. I think of it like the underscoring to the listener’s main character moment. It’s the accompaniment to [their] journey, wherever and whenever it is. It’s meant to be a world as opposed to a [collection of] songs,” shared SIXFOOT 5.

While New York is a breeding ground for creativity, its relentless energy can just as easily create static—clouding vision and stalling momentum. For SIXFOOT 5, a months-long creative block eventually led him to take a step back. It wasn’t until a quiet stint house-sitting in Florida that the noise finally cleared. After nearly five months of silence, the music arrived all at once—what some artists call a divine download, a transmission from somewhere else, somewhere higher. In just six days, he composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire project. BODY EROTICA wasn’t built in the traditional sense—it came through like a vision, fully formed, demanding to be made real.

“So often when I’m making music, it doesn’t feel like it’s mine—it feels like it’s God’s, and I’m just the vessel, the translator. This project poured out of me so quickly that I’m still trying to understand it. On one level, I know what it’s about; on another, I’m asking, ‘What are you trying to tell me?’ It’s layered and complex. It’s sexual, tense, full of release, and weird sounds. I even digitized my breathing to use as a percussive tool. It explores themes of sexual liberation and cinematic thrillers, wrapped in euphoric sounds. It’s a beast, and I’m just starting to peel back the top layer,” explained SIXFOOT 5.

Released on April 25th, BODY EROTICA marks SIXFOOT 5’s 107th project since 2021, a staggering output for an artist who once shied away from the spotlight. After releasing his first EP at 22 under a small indie label, he quickly realized that performing didn’t align with his creative spirit. Instead, he found his stride behind the scenes, producing for other artists and helping shape their vision. He likens it to fashion—cinching, embellishing, and making sure the final look shines. With an intuitive grasp of emotion and storytelling, he excels at translating what others feel into sound. Yet even in his work, there’s always a deeper statement—a balance between personal artistry and detailed craftsmanship that defines his approach.

“I think of myself as akin to a fashion designer. When I work with an artist, they become my muse, they’re the model, and I’m dressing them with the right looks for their body and shape. It’s always a mutually beneficial experience. For me, music is the fashion of sound, and it’s my job to weave all the different musical layers, track by track, bit by bit, into an EP or a single. At the core of my heart, I feel like a designer,” enthused SIXFOOT 5.

Though he sees himself as a fashion designer of sound, it was cinema that first drew SIXFOOT 5 to music. Film scores were his entry point, revealing how sound could elevate visual storytelling and stir profound emotion. Music has always moved him, but as he went on to explain, “Seeing it in the context of film would make me weep.” While ambient and incidental textures in his music draw heavily from cinematic influences, his pop sensibilities are shaped by the polished craftsmanship of Swedish producer Max Martin and the eclectic flair of Virginia’s Benny Blanco.

“I remember watching this two-tape VHS set of Titanic when I was eight and falling in love with the score. After that, every movie I watched, I studied the score. I wasn’t the kid with tons of pop music on my iTunes—I had film scores and instrumentals,” continued SIX FOOT 5, “I also really admire what Max Martin has done with his career. When I was thirteen, I used to track down instrumental versions of songs I loved, find the stems, and reverse-engineer them just to understand how the producer built that sound.”

In honor of Pride Month, SIXFOOT 5 has followed up BODY EROTICA with a new EP titled “GOOD BOY”, released on June 5th. Inspired by Raffertie’s evocative score from The Substance, the single leans more into pop but retains SIX FOOT 5’s signature minimalism—less a centerpiece, more an environment enhancer. Much like BODY EROTICA, it occupies a liminal sonic space: part electronic, part pop, part instrumental, and part incidental. His work resists easy categorization, best described as a kind of mood ring—shifting in tone, feeling, and texture depending on how it’s held up to the light.

“You go from hearing a dance banger to this sweeping John Williams, emotional symphonic piece. It’s really what I’m feeling in the moment. I’m privileged to be able to do that, and I think part of it is because I don’t focus on the numbers or the destination. I just want people to walk away feeling something,” shared SIXFOOT 5.

If you’ve been to Basement in NYC, you may have already caught tracks like “Head Game” or “Body Count.” If not, now’s the time to dive in—stream the full BODY EROTICA album and the new single “GOOD BOY” on all music streaming platforms and follow SIXFOOT 5 on socials for the latest news and updates.
