Sounds Australia House Will Open Its Doors at Amsterdam Dance Event 2025

Sounds Australia, the nation’s music export office, will once again have a physical presence at Amsterdam Dance Event.

Announced today, June 34, Sounds Australia House will take over Box Sociaal Jordaan on October 22nd and 23rd, 2025, part of the annual dance music extravaganza that is ADE.

According to reps, the House is an “exclusive, vibrant hub to foster collaboration, build valuable international relationships, and accelerate the global success of Australian talent,” where guests can expect premium coffee by day, cocktails by night, and a curated program of exclusive networking events.

“Australian dance music and culture isn’t having a moment, it’s a movement,” explains Esti Zilber, executive producer and head of Sounds Australia.

Zilber isn’t wrong. According to a report published in 2024 by the International Music Summit (IMS) found that music fans in Australia, on average, stream more of the genre than any other nation.

Separate data from Spotify, based on the volume of the streamers following dance music, Australia is No. 3, behind only powerhouses the United States and Germany.

One of the most prominent artists in electronic dance music is Melbourne native Dom Dolla, who later this year will become the first homegrown DJ to play a stadium show in Australia, December 20th at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium.

Dolla is the cover star of the June edition of Rolling Stone AU/NZ, and features in the title’s first-ever list of the 50 Greatest Australian Electronic Acts of all Time.

Established in 1996 and supported by collecting society Buma/Stemra, ADE is said to be the world’s leading gathering of electronic music professionals, with a program crammed with over 1,000 events, 3,000 artists, and some 500,000 visitors across the daytime and evening activities.
