A new film project from St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein will debut at Sundance Film Festival next year.
The key cinema event has unveiled its programme for 2020, and amongst the treats for those who can make it is the first screening of The Nowhere Inn.
The feature length project unites Sleater-Kinney guitarist Carrie Brownstein and St. Vincent star Annie Clark, who have crafted a kind of meta-documentary.
A fully collaborative work directed by Bill Benz, Deadline reports the official blurb as reading…
When St. Vincent sets out to make a documentary about her music, the goal is to both reveal and revel in the unadorned truth behind her on-stage persona.
But when she hires a close friend to direct, notions of reality, identity, and authenticity grow increasingly distorted and bizarre.
Here’s St. Vincent’s announce.
