ORIGINAL STORY:
Stereophonics have announced their return to Australia, with four dates down under set for October 2025. These will mark the Welsh alternative rock band’s first shows locally in over seven years, and come as part of the band’s ongoing world tour in support of their 13th studio album Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
“Being on the road again with my best friends, playing all the hits of this band’s catalogue, makes me so excited, we should make a new album,” said frontman Kelly Jones in a press statement. “Oh, wait… we already did that! See ya there for more good times.” Stereophonics have enjoyed continued success in Australia throughout their career, with their first six studio albums all gracing the ARIA Albums Chart. The band also cracked the Singles top 40 in 2005 with their signature song, ‘Dakota’.
Stereophonics – ‘Maybe Tomorrow’
The band were last seen in Australia circa 2018, touring in support of their Gold-certified 10th album Scream Above The Sound. The tour also saw the band make their Sydney Opera House debut, performing for two nights inside the venue’s hallowed Concert Hall. Since they were last here, Stereophonics have released a further three studio albums: In addition to the aforementioned Make ‘Em Laugh…, which was released in April, the quartet also shared Kind in 2019 and Oochya! in 2022.
