Target Stocks ‘Tiny Vinyl’ 4-Inch Releases Including Kacey Musgraves, Rolling Stones, Doechii, Chappell Roan

US startup Tiny Vinyl launches four-inch singles through Target, with hits from Kacey Musgraves, Doechii, Chappell Roan, the Rolling Stones, and more.
Vinyl fans might not have thought there would be anything smaller than the classic seven-inch record, but US-based startup Tiny Vinyl is debuting… well, tiny vinyl. These four-inch singles can be played on standard turntables at 33rpm, and can only fit around four minutes of music per side.
With such a small amount of space to work with, what makes a four-inch vinyl more appealing than a seven-inch vinyl? Primarily, they’re better for the environment. Tiny Vinyl says the records are made out of bio-attributed vinyl and use just 15g of material per single—as opposed to 140g for a full-sized 12-inch album.
The company has entered into a partnership with retailer Target, which is promoting the new singles on its website just in time for fall. Artists include Doechii, the Rolling Stones, Gracie Abrams, Motley Crue, and many more. These artists are notably all signed to Universal, but some Sony-affiliated releases are reportedly on the way, including Britney Spears and Doja Cat. Warner will also be releasing singles from artists like Black Sabbath and Bruno Mars.
The price might seem a little steep for such a small offering, at $14.99—but that’s more to do with the nature of sourcing vinyl than anything. And that’s still a pretty affordable price compared to some contemporary 12-inch offerings. Currently, the small records are only available in the United States, with plans to expand into the UK.
If Tiny Vinyl sounds like a familiar name, you’re not alone. We first heard the name back in April, when country singer-songwriter Hardy released a limited-edition two-track Tiny Vinyl exclusively through Tennessee’s Jackalope Brewing Co. That’s because Tiny Vinyl was actually co-developed by Nashville Record Pressing.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reports that the vinyl resurgence is still going strong, and data shows that for the first time in 40 years, 2026 could mark back-to-back years of vinyl sales achieving over $1 billion in revenue. For K-pop fans, that may not come as a surprise; the 2010s saw an explosion of vinyl on the scene from groups like BTS and Blackpink, who released multiple versions of vinyl albums with extra collectibles like photo cards or posters.
Tiny Vinyl could result in a similar collectible frenzy, especially if big names like Taylor Swift decide to utilize the format to offer limited-edition versions of singles for die-hard collectors. The Target release is basically testing the waters, so time will tell if four-inch vinyl becomes a new cost-effective way to press records for fans.
