Taylor Swift Says Launching South American Leg of Eras Tour in Argentina Was ‘Best Decision Possible’
“I can’t even express my gratitude to the Buenos Aires crowds,” she wrote.

Long live the Eras Tour. Taylor Swift resumed her record-obliterating Eras Tour on Nov. 9 with three unforgettable shows at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And on Monday (Nov. 13), as she prepares to tear through her final six shows of the calendar year, Swift took to her Instagram page to celebrate the launch of the Eras Tour’s South American leg.
“Andddd we’re back at it! Starting off the South American leg of The Eras Tour in Argentina = best decision possible. I can’t even express my gratitude to the Buenos Aires crowds,” she wrote in the caption of a photoset chronicling memorable on-stage moments from the three-night mini-residency. “I’d never been to Argentina before and they gave us the most electric, magical memories. Thanks to the amazing fans whose show was postponed Friday for coming back Sunday and blowing us away with your passion and excitement. See you next weekend, Rio!!”
Swift was forced to postpone her second Eras Tour showing in Buenos Aires Friday due to “truly chaotic” weather. “I love a rain show but I’m never going to endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “We’ve rescheduled tonight’s Buenos Aires show for Sunday due to the weather being so truly chaotic it would be unsafe to try and put on this concert. Good news is I get to stay in Argentina later!”
That same day, the 12-time Grammy winner picked up six nominations for the upcoming 66th Grammy Awards, including nods for album of the year and best pop vocal album for Midnights, and record and song of the Year for “Anti-Hero.” Swift, who leads the 2023 Billboard Music Awards finalists with nods in 20 categories, is one of five artists to score nominations in album, record and song of the year at next year’s Grammys ceremony, which will be Feb. 4.
The three Buenos Aires shows were Swift’s first Eras Tour performances since her four-night stint in Mexico back in August. “Nonsense” singer Sabrina Carpenter and Latin Grammy-nominated Argentine musician Louta serve as support acts for the three Estadio River Plate dates. The Argentine shows were also Swift’s first live performances since the debut of her record-shattering Eras Tour concert film, which has grossed over $240 million worldwide, becoming the highest grossing concert film of all time.
