Tedeschi Trucks Band Announce Beacon Theater Residency Following LA Weekend, Performing Neil Diamond Cover with Kate Hudson

Tedeschi Trucks Band will revive its tradition of hosting a multi-night residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre this spring. The 12-piece ensemble, known for its blues-tinged, Southern brand of rock and roll, shared the dates of its forthcoming Big Apple appearances: March 10, 11, 13, 14, 20, and 21. Word of the big band’s imminent return to the Upper West Side venue came after a busy weekend for the husband and wife duo and their band, including a performance at The Peppermint Club, before the 2025 Rock Hall Induction ceremony. 

During the group’s time at the West Hollywood, Calif., venue, they supported Kate Hudson, who sang Neil Diamond’s 1979-released hit, “Forever in Blue Jeans.” The choice of material alluded to the singer’s current acting role in the forthcoming biographical film, Song Sung Blue, based on the 2008 documentary by the same name, which followed a real-life couple who traversed the country under the title Lighting & Thunder, a Diamond cover band in the ‘80s and ‘90s. 

In the film, Hugh Jackman fills the role of Mike Sardina, aka “Lightning,” while Hudson plays wife/songstress Claire Sardina, “Thunder.” The film will be released on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.
