The Disco Biscuits Collaborate with Cloudchord to Release Remix of “Lake Shore Drive”

Today, The Disco Biscuits unleashed a fresh remix of their 2022 single “Lake Shore Drive” by longtime producer Cloudchord, also known as Derek VanScoten. The remix adds a new dimension to the track, which has become a favorite since its release, blending the band’s signature live energy with electronic dance music sound design. The release comes as the Disco Biscuits prepare to wrap up their fall tour, with more dates and a highly anticipated album on the horizon.

Building on the original song’s guitar and key patterns, Cloudchord introduces tropical percussion, pitch-bending synths and stylish vocal samples, creating an immersive and dancefloor-ready experience.

VanScoten shared his thoughts on the remix in a press release, stating, “For the past 2 years, I have been producing all the new material for The Disco Biscuits. We’ve talked about tasteful ways to blend the forward-thinking sound design of electronic dance music with the live improvisational energy of their live performances. This remix melds the band’s hot riffs with beautiful organic dance sounds, perhaps reminiscent of acts like Bonobo.”

As The Disco Biscuits gear up for the final leg of their fall tour, they are set to close it out in style, with performances in Burlington, Vt. Portland, Ore. Hartford, Conn., and two nights at Port Chester, N.Y.’s beloved Capitol Theatre. December will see them headlining Miami’s North Beach Music Festival and concluding the year with a late-night show at New York’s Palladium Times Square, in addition to two nights at their hometown venue, Philadelphia’s Franklin Music Hall.

The band is not slowing down in 2024, as they have announced additional tour dates for the new year. They’ll return to the West Coast for the second consecutive year and make their debut at Tucson’s Gem & Jam Festival. In February, the band will return to Colorado for multi-night runs in Aspen and Boulder, with special support from Cloudchord himself.
