The Smashing Pumpkins Post Call for Additional Guitarist
The Smashing Pumpkins have taken to social media in its search for a new guitarist. After stating their intended purpose for the post, the search–shared with fans and followers continued, “The application process is open to anyone that might be interested.” See below.
Notably, the band has seen some significant lineup shifts throughout the years despite the consistent presence of founding member Billy Corgan. The latest iteration includes guitarist/bassist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain, with multi-instrumentalist Katie Cole and bassist Jack Bates stepping in on tour.
The ensemble’s need for an additional guitarist arrives ahead of their extensive 2024 touring schedule, which includes appearances across Europe on their The World Is a Vampire run and support dates for Green Day throughout August and September.
To apply, submit a resume and related materials to SPGuitars@redlightmanagementcom.
