After teasing activity for much of this year, The Smile have announced their second studio album, Wall of Eyes. It will be released on Jan. 26, 2024 through XL Recordings. The album was produced by Sam Petts-Davies and was recorded in Oxford and at Abbey Road Studios. It also features string arrangements by the London Contemporary Orchestra

Today (Nov. 13), the group, which includes Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner from Sons of Kemet. shared the album’s title track. The video for the song was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

Additionally, the group revealed a brief number of show in the U.K. and Europe that will take place in March 2024.

In June, The Smile shared “Bending Hectic,” which the band debuted Montreaux Jazz Festival last year. At the time, it was billed as a standalone single, however, it will appear on Wall of Eyes.
