The String Cheese Incident Share New Year’s Eve Celebration Details
The String Cheese Incident are gearing up for an unforgettable three-day New Year’s Eve celebration at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., from Dec. 29 to 31. This year’s festivities carry special significance as the band commemorates their 30th anniversary, and to honor the milestone, the New Year’s Eve performance will be a “deep dive” weaving together three decades of musical evolution.
In line with traditional 30th-anniversary celebrations, marked by diamonds and pearls, String Cheese Incident invites attendees to dress for the occasion and prepare for an aquatic soirée as they dish out three sets, each dedicated to a separate decade.
Adding to the anticipation, the Dec. 30 performance will feature special guest appearances by longtime friends Peter Rowan and Tony Furtado. Notably, 2023 also saw the release of the ensemble’s latest album, Lend Me a Hand, adding another layer of excitement to the year’s festivities.
