The Tipping Point, Tulane University’s beloved all-star benefit concert, is rapidly rolling in again. Set to stage at the historic Orpheum Theatre on Nov. 14, during Tulane’s Wave ’25 Homecoming, the 9th annual musical celebration will unite a dream team of the Crescent City’s foremost performers and icons from the worlds of indie-rock, blues, jam, funk and more to support student scholarships. As this year’s presentation arrives 20 years after Hurricane Katrina, the event will also honor New Orleans’ awe-inspiring resilience and its deep roots in cultural heritage.

The Tipping Point 2025 will run the range of New Orleans music with a lineup featuring Ben Jaffe and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Dawes’ Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith, The Revivalists frontman David Shaw, Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge, Taj Mahal, Amy Helms and a duo of NOLA royalty, Irma Thomas and George Porter Jr. Grammy-winning guitarist, producer and funk firebrand Eric Krasno will return as musical director, leading the Tipping Point Band of esteemed peers Ivan Neville, Tony Hall, Raymond Weber and the Dumpstaphunk Horns.

“The Tipping Point brings some of the country’s top musicians together for a special evening devoted to ensuring that cost is no barrier for any student who dreams of pursuing a Tulane education,” Tulane President Michael A. Fitts said. “As we reflect on the 20 years since Hurricane Katrina, this concert embodies our shared commitment to expanding opportunity for students who will shape the future of New Orleans.”

“The Tipping Point thrives because of the extraordinary talent that has always been at the heart of New Orleans,” echoed Nicole Rechter, co-founder of RWE Partners. “Each year we’re honored to unite that homegrown brilliance with artists from across the country, creating a one-night celebration that supports the city and carries forward the legacy of its music.”

Over 85% of Tulane’s undergraduate students receive financial aid, whether through need-based aid awards or merit scholarships. Tickets to support the ambitious fundraising initiative through a night of unprecedented collaboration are available now. Learn more about the event at tippingpoint.tulane.edu.
