On Friday, September 5, Phish cover band, REPRISE, took their live show and affinity for the Vermont state jammers to Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl. The concert featured a special guest appearance by Phish lyricist Tom Marshall, who helped the tribute act recall a moment from the original band’s past.

At the City of Brotherly Love concert, REPRISE, featuring Cal Kehoe (Pink Talking Fish), Adrian Tramontano (Twiddle, Kung Fu, The Breakfast), Scott Chasolen (Ulu, The Machine), and Chris DeAngelis (The Machine, Kung Fu, The Breakfast), brought Marshall out to revive his Dec. 29, 1996 cameo with Phish.

During the previously mentioned mid-‘90s Phish concert, the foursome brought out Marshall to help on their one and only cover of Oasis’ “Champagne Supernova,” within the song “Harpua.” Providing a reference to the original sit-in, Marshall remade the moment during last Friday’s performance.

Watch the original sit-in below and see REPRISE’s post via Instagram commemorating the 2025 reference.
