Tomorrowland 2025 TikTok Livestreams Attracted Over 74 Million Unique Viewers, Platform Says — ‘The Festival Broke All Previous Records’

It turns out TikTokers love electronic music: Tomorrowland 2025 livestreams attracted north of 74 million on-platform viewers, according to TikTok, breaking “all previous records” in the process.

The ByteDance subsidiary just recently touted the livestream-viewership feat, with the Belgian festival’s 19th edition having taken place during July’s final two weekends. Of course, music content and initiatives aren’t exactly rare on TikTok; Tomorrowland 2023 logged approximately 16 million on-platform livestream viewers, per the app.

Evidently, however, some promotional pushes are stronger than others. Towards the top of July, Tomorrowland and TikTok announced a “new wide-ranging, year-long partnership” encompassing not only livestreams, but behind-the-scenes content, artist collaborations, and “interactive fan experiences.”

Judging by the initially mentioned viewership – “74 million unique viewers watched TikTok LIVE streams from Tomorrowland across both weekends,” according to the app – the marketing efforts were decidedly successful.

Furthermore, at least as described by TikTok, user interest in electronic music has been growing for a while now.

“Electronic Music is one of the most popular genres on TikTok, where views of posts using electronic music as a soundtrack, including techno and house, outgrew those tagged for indie and alternative for the first time in 2024,” the platform relayed.

Back to the Tomorrowland tie-up, TikTok’s SoundOn distribution and promotion service also hosted a songwriting camp in Brussels, with the assembled talent having created “a series of brand new, original tracks specifically written for the festival.”

After debuting during Tomorrowland performances, these tracks proceeded to generate a solid number of streams, TikTok summed up. All told, “artists that partnered with TikTok at Tomorrowland,” either via livestreams or “content studio,” gained a cumulative three million followers, the parties disclosed.

Moreover, the festival and the video-sharing giant apparently have songwriting-camp works in reserve; the tracks “will be unveiled in the weeks ahead,” with a Pegassi release scheduled to drop on the 15th.

And in terms of the actual promotional upside for Tomorrowland, the festival has added about two million TikTok followers since early July, the appropriate profile shows.

“This holistic global partnership has taken Tomorrowland on TikTok to a new level,” added TikTok global head of music partnership development Michael Kümmerle, “making it one of the strongest music accounts on the platform, and creating incredible impact, engagement and value – both on- and off-platform – for the artists participating in and supporting this amazing campaign. We look forward to creating many more incredible experiences with Tomorrowland as their official content partner.”

Especially in light of the festival sector’s well-documented struggles, the additional exposure definitely won’t hurt Tomorrowland – and could fuel demand for next year’s installment as well as different events. Among the latter are a Sphere show and an October festival in Brazil.

On the opposite side of the partnership, against the backdrop of TikTok’s uncertain U.S. future, the above stats are a good reminder of the platform’s considerable music-space reach and global presence.
