Upon Stone Premiere New Single & Music Video From Upcoming New Album “Dead Mother Moon”

Upon Stone’s inaugural album with Century Media, titled “Dead Mother Moon,” is set for release on January 19th. The thrashing melodic death metal band signed with Century Media earlier this year and enlisted Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, Nails) to produce the album at his studio, The Pit.

The title track, the second song from the record, is available for an advance listen with a video co-directed by Steven Grise and the band.

Vocalist/bassist Xavier Wahlberg shared insights into the narrative behind the album.

“A mortal human’s search for meaning through the practice of ritual and magic. Discovering the power and reverence of the nocturnal spirit world waiting to be gained for those willing to devote themselves to it completely. The Dead Mother Moon represents a manifestation/personification of these elements. A deity/goddess ruling over it all.”
